Fundamentals of Unix

This course is being offered by Box Hill Institute in conjunction with Cisco Systems.

 

The course covers the Command Line Interface (CLI) and the Common Desktop Environment (CDE) using Solaris 8 Unix Operating System and introduces the student to File and Directory Management, Process Management, Mail, Print functions and basic Networking Concepts.

 

The course consists of 40 hours in-person classroom attendance covering theory, lab exercises, and assessments.

Refund and Transfers

 

  • Applications for refunds and transfers will be accepted if a request is received at least five (5) working days prior to date of course commencement.  (A standard handling charge of $30 will apply for all transfers.  There will be a 25% administration fee for all withdrawals from a course).  A full refund is given only if the class is cancelled.
  • No refunds once course has commenced.
